Lifetime Jewelry Warranty

Hustedt Jewelers’ lifetime jewelry warranty covers the repair or replacement of a damaged or defective jewelry piece for its lifetime.

The warranty is free with your jewelry purchase, and we offer a free limited lifetime warranty for every piece of gold and platinum jewelry purchased at our store.

This limited warranty only covers some types of damage on certain parts of a jewelry piece. To keep your warranty valid, you’re required to comply with our rules.

The warranty service at Hustedt comes with clearly defined requirements and exclusions to prevent confusion and misunderstanding:

• Regular jewelry inspections are required every six months. Skipping the inspection will void your warranty. During the inspection, we’ll ensure the gems, ear nuts, and clasps are properly secured. We’ll also tighten any loose stones or adjust your jewelry at no charge.
• Keep your inspection records properly. After your semi-annual inspection, we’ll give you a form verifying that your jewelry has been properly inspected by one of our experts. Store this document in a safe place, as you will be required to show it to have any warranty work done at no cost. In keeping with industry standards, we do not keep records of the pieces we’ve inspected.
• We fix defects in materials and craftsmanship free of charge. Unless you’re a jewelry expert, you cannot always tell whether a piece of jewelry is truly defective. We will check for defects in craftsmanship and materials. In the unlikely event that jewelry purchased from Hustedt is indeed defective, we will repair or replace it at no charge.
• Normal wear and tear are not covered by this warranty. However, we will be happy to repair your jewelry at a discounted rate.
• Center stones are not covered by this warranty. If the center stone in your jewelry piece is damaged, it is not covered by the warranty. We may be able to offer you a discount on this type of repair.
• Loss and theft are excluded from this warranty. To protect your jewelry against loss or theft, please contact your private insurance agent to ensure that you have adequate coverage for your fine jewelry collection.
• Our warranty does not cover repairs done at another jeweler. Hustedt Jewelers’ warranty only covers repairs and alterations performed by our in-house jewelry experts.

Other free services include stone and clasp tightening, cleaning, and polishing.
